Death Ballad: Part 1

Two brothers, born of different families.
Two brothers, one in aspirations and dreams.
Two brothers, fraternal in stature, complexity and build.
Two brothers, same thoughts fill their hearts.
Two brothers, dissimilar in distinct aspects.
Two brothers, they planned to take down the world together.

They will dominate, they shall plunder, they could conquer,
Together.
Each sits on the throne made for two.
Two Emperors to rule the world.
Two Kings to own the Kingdom.
Two Generals to lead the same army.
Two Captains to commandeer one boat.
Two Fathers to head the same house.

Heads together pressed,
Hands tightly held,
Gazes locked,
Hearts intertwined, figuratively.
Promises repeatedly made,
Assurances made and remade,
Plans made and stamped.
There is much to achieve,
The fields are green and fresh,
The creatures are wild and primitive.

It is a good time to plunder,
No opposition,
No resistance.
Let us strike brother,
I have the anvil and you the hammer.
The furnace has delivered the iron blazing hot.

So the plans rolled out in motion.
Put the plan forward.
The world shall marvel at their dominance when they are through.
They will shred the world to their delight,
Impose their wills on all peoples.
Yes, they are unstoppable.

So they thought,
Such was the plan,
Until it was implausible.
There was a difference,
Fate rather it another way,
So, it changed the narrative.

You plan,
You push for it,
But time and chance happen to all.
This time and chance snatched one brother.
Dead, down the world of Hades,
To eternal fires and punishment.
The Grim Reaper cast his lot and it fell on one.

Two went forth the day,
Joyously enjoying the free world,
Until they will purge it to their liking,
The rains came, pouring in heavy showers.
How wonderful it will be to control nature.
They set on a rock at the edge of a cliff.
Enjoying the sight of nature bathed in natural shower.
Then one slip, fell through the cliff,
Down the rocky slopes below, and was seen no more.

No means of rescue,
The would be world conqueror helpless to the world he was to conquer.
His fate decided already,
He did not live up to his own hype,
Gone he was, forever.

And so it came to pass.
What was made for two,
What two dreamt,
What two aspired,
All came to rest at the feet of one.

Distraught he was,
Unprepared for loneliness.
No contingency for the situation.
Unprepared in this circumstance.

So he left the world as it was.
It did not burn,
It did not bow to his rule.
What be the use even,
To gain the powers and thrones with no one to share.
Better off leave the uncultured as they are.

Death, you have cheated me.
Oh brother gone,
This world is not ours to plunder.
Await me in Hades,
There we shall set our campaign,
Sell our souls to Mephisto,
Swear and become the avatar of SABBAC.
If time and chance is the enemy,
Time and chance shall be the friend too.

All dreams that never came through,
All thoughts that went void,
Every good gone,
Gone in eternity's belt.

All souls we've lost,
We will see in Valhalla.
